Joseph Onele

Joseph Onele  the Founding/Managing Partner of Primus Grace LP, is a lawyer with lots of experience. He is a peer reviewer for The Journal of African Law (Cambridge University Press), a Researcher for the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) based in Texas, Contributing Writer for The Arctic Institute based in Washington DC and has several articles in reputable law journals. He is a First Class Graduate of Law from the Premier University in Nigeria, the University of Ibadan and was recently awarded the Postgraduate Diploma in Oil and Gas Law by the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom. He is a recipient of many academic scholarships, awards and prizes.

 Prior to joining the Arctic Institute in March this year as a Contributing Writer, Joseph was a Legal Practitioner with Olaniwun Ajayi LP (OALP), a Top Tier corporate and commercial African law firm, with offices in Lagos and Abuja where Joseph cut his teeth in transaction advisory services, dispute resolution (Litigation and Arbitration inclusive), general legal advisory and support services.
Joseph has had the privilege, at different times to consult for the National Assembly on the Competition Bill, Secured Credit Transaction Act, and more recently, led the team that is currently advising on the Arbitration and Conciliation Act (Amendment Bill), and the House of Representatives Committee on Capital Market and Regulatory Compliance. Joseph also has, at different times advised and provided legal representation for multinationals and International Oil Companies (IOCs) like Shell, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Seplat, amongst others in cutting-edge transactions and landmark disputes. 
Joseph has written extensively on energy law (oil and gas contemporary issues inclusive), banking, finance and capital markets, insurance law, electoral law, mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy and insolvency, corporate and commercial law, private and public international law, amongst others.
