President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency, President Nana Akufo-Addo will this morning deliver the keynote address of the 2018 annual general conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
The Ghanaian President arrived Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja on Sunday ahead of his keynote address at the 2018 NBA Conference on Monday.
President Akufo-Addo is expected to share from his experience as a lawyer, diplomat and administrator. His interests are noted to include intra-Africa trade, economic growth, education, growing indigenous capacity in various sectors of the economy and climate change, among others which align with the theme of the conference, Transitions, Transformation and Sustainable Institutions. It is therefore expected that he would be speaking on these issues and more while delivering his keynote address.
Following his keynote address, the Ghanaian president will hold a conversation with former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and incumbent the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. It is anticipated that their interaction will touch on diversification of the economy, increasing literacy rate, political stability and peaceful transitions, among other subjects.
The session starts by 9:00am at the Africa Hall of the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
