Top commercial law firm, Templars emerged the ‘grand prize winners’ at the ESQ Nigerian Legal Awards which held Sunday evening.
The firm which has become known for advising on major transactions in crucial sectors of the Nigerian economy including but not limited to Oil & Gas, Mining, Power and Project Finance, won the award for the Law Firm of the year in the big practice category. The award was undoubtedly the most coveted gong of the evening and the announcement was greeted with wild jubilation.
Templars also won the Banking & Finance Team of the Year and Capital Market Team of the Year awards showing a clear dominance of the awards.

Wole Olanipekun & Co – Dispute Resolution Team of the Year
Advocaat – Law Firm of the Year (Small Practice).
There were also awards for in-house counsel at various corporate organisations. Total Nigeria for instance won the Oil & Gas In-House Team of the Year while Ecobank won the Banking & Finance In-House Team of the Year.
